New Page 2 Profile - Needles Flat Needle 1. Skin heals better 2. Has an additional “sleeve” which protects the sharpness, not like others that bend easily, which can cause bleeding or scarring or problems. In between the needles is space to hold pigment, for better deposit of colour. Flat has a finer point than round, better for eyeliner and eye area because there is less trauma to the skin. Skin heals better and locks in more colour as a result. More colour means less fading! 3. Flat needles are used around the eye because it delivers a straight line rather than zig-zag and heals much faster. 4. Flat needles can also be used for outline, brow feathering, brush hair strokes, alignment, or fill-in lip shading at a 45º angle. Lips are a mucous membrane and have a much different texture than skin. Round Needles: 1. Round needle configurations are good for filling in brows, thick eyeliners and for outlining the lip area. Other round needles on the market penetrate at staggered intervals but with the BioTouch Accupoint Series, each needle group is bound and receives 100% of the machine’s power. 2. Lips scar easily, and lipliner should have pigment embedded by a round needle configuration. TIP - Inform the technician/client that both configurations are essential for maximum results and that you are there to help them define what is best. If they are just starting out, try a 2 or 3 prong at first. Build up to more prongs later as they gain confidence and speed. 3 prong flat = eyebrow, hair stroke, or thin eyeliner. 4 prong flat = Speeds up the above, but also used to fill in thick liner on lips. 6 prong flat = fill in lips 5 prong round = fill in thicker eyeliner 5 or 7 round = to outline lips TIP - If customer has delicate skin, use 3 prong. Tougher skin can use 4. Use the information guide for reference. TIP- Make sure the technician is holding the machine properly, with the needles at a proper 45 or 90 angle. All needles in the configuration should be touching the skin. FAQ: Can the AccuPoint Needles be used in all three of your machines? Answer: Yes!
